Update on AHHHHHH!

This week has proven to be one the most exhausting that I can remember. We have had many ups, but more downs and I feel that this is just the beginning of the next few weeks or months. Lily and Joelle have been sick for the last 3 days and now Kora is showing signs of the same. I am tired and emotionally spent. I know God has been planning all this for our growth and His glory. I will to stay focused on His promise that He doesn't give us more than we can handle in His strength. Romans 8:28 says that ALL things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. I know that this has been true for all our past issues. I an standing on his track record being 100% perfect. Not in my eyes, but in His. TO top it all off my co-leader at Bible study quit suddenly. Now I am left holding the ball and feel totally inadequate. I think this is where God wants me to be so that I focus on His will and not my own agenda. God is so good and I am so thankful that He will never leave me of forsake me. One of my life verses is Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me (God), and I will answer and do great and mighty things that you do not know." I am waiting expectantly for His answer. Also another verse is Nahum 1:7, "The LORD [is] good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him." I just sit back and relax in His arms right now! If anyone is reading this, please pray for our family.

AHHHHHHH!

This week has been a tough one to take. Last night our TV quit! Simply it is done with us, so we are now without a TV. Ok, we can handle that one. Earlier this week all the idiot lights in the van went on. So now we have to have the van looked at and fixed. Ok, we can do that, we need a vehicle. Then the bathroom is full of water. I look under the sink and the knob is leaking. I turn it off and the water stops dripping, but I hear the sound of water streaming out still. Ok, maybe I'm imagining it, right, now I'm just paranoid. No not paranoid correct. Tonight Kora comes in the room and says, "The floor in the bathroom is HOT" Ok, now I'm really at my end. We called my cousin's husband who is a plumber and he can't help. We need something more. Ok, when do we call, I work, Paul works, and no one is going to be home during the days. Problem solved, Joelle has a fever!!!! 101.1 I'm not thankful for the fever, but am thankful for the timing. Now I can stay home and have the leak detection service come and "find" the leak. My cousin called back and offered some help, turn off the hot water heater and then the hot water will not be running all night. Just simply turn it back on when I need hot water. Sure!!! Any one have extra $$$$ laying around? If so I have a great place for you to use it ALL up! I can't wait to see what God has for us this time. I pray my faith is strong enough to get through this too! He is good and I am NOT arguing that, but I am wondering how He is going to provide for our needs! Here is the floor in question. Can you see the heat radiating from the floor?

This week, and our health!

The last 2 weeks have been a bit different for our family. I have been really trying to fix healthy food, not drink (serve) soda, serve more fruit and not so much dessert. The girls have been pretty good about it. Although there have been a few moments of frustration in the fact that I have allowed so much junk in our home. I bought a produce box from http://washingtonproduce.com. It had great fresh fruit and veggies. We ate most of it and really enjoyed it. Thanks to Leighann, my cousin, who told me about this way to introduce more fresh foods into our home, I've been really trying to eat healthy and in fact one daughter lost about 3 pounds. I'm so thankful for God for providing for our family.

Time for Change

This week the Lord has been showing me lots of realities about my family and their health. I am in need of changing it now!!! Slowly, but starting right now. We have started to eat less, and more fruits and veggies. This will help all of us in the weight area. I bought a few books about diabetes and healthy living. This will be a challenge. We are lazy and really like to eat fattening foods and lots of it. I have not told the girls about it, I'm just starting to change my life and keeping things out of the house. Also the whole move more thing is hard to start when we have always been really sedentary. My prayer is that we find the motivation to follow God's plan to not be so gluttonous and greed for more (food) that we will be able to fall in love with him even more. So if you are reading this and want o pray for our family we would love it! Also if you know of any great healthy foods, recipes or activities for a family to do (cheap) let me know!!!

Bass Pro Shop

Yesterday, Paul & I took the girls to the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga. Paul & i have been there a few times on dates, but Kora, Lily, and Joelle have not. So wish I had the camera. They were amazed all the great sights. Joelle loved the fish, Lily loved to find the hidden coyotes, and Kora liked to touch as many of the animals as she possibly could touch. They were able to "drive" the pontoon boats and rock in all the chairs. They found lots of great things to say "come see this" to us. We then went to In n Out for dinner. It was a really good time for the whole family.
