Today was a really hard day for Joelle. Last night she went to bed around 6pm. She slept until 8pm when she found herself sweaty hot from snuggling her princess blanket for Green Grandma. Joelle fell right back to sleep after Paul hugged her for a few minutes. Then around 11:30 she woke up and her bed was wet from sweat. Paul made a bed on the floor and she went right back to sleep. At 7am I tried to wake her up. It was hard, but I was successful. Imagine sleeping for about 13 hours. She should be feeling great. She got dressed and off to breakfast we went. She ate and we left. We saw Kora and Lily off to day camp and we said Hi and Bye to Paul (aka Daddy).
SO far so good. Then it happened... The whole drive to CTK (my work and her school) she cried for daddy. It went like this...
"I want daddy. I was to snuggle him. I want daddy. I miss daddy." The entire way. Which is about 8 minutes. I clocked it. It wasn't a whinny cry it was a true heart felt loss. She really just wanted daddy to hold and hug. I get it, but she couldn't understand why I wasn't driving back to PCA.
Then this afternoon once again it happened. Only for Kora. Joelle and I drove Kora and a few friend to camp this afternoon. Then on the way home Joelle started again, only for Kora.
"I want Kora. I miss Kora. I want to snuggle Kora."
Only this time it was for 1.25 hours. I am so done with long car rides if they involve Joelle crying for a family member.
Maybe she will end up with Paul and she will cry for MOMMY!!!!!
Maybe when pigs fly!!!!!
